杰斐逊民主是1790年代至1820年代美国當時流行的一種政治观点和政治运动,名字來自於托马斯·杰斐逊 。傑佛遜民主支持者反對贵族政治、反对贪污、推崇美德、反对商人、银行家、反對精英主义、不信任工厂工人、反对西敏制。他們主張要多照顧自耕农、种植园主和平民。 [1]
