米尔顿·巴比特
米尔顿·拜伦·巴比特（英語：Milton Byron Babbitt，1916年5月10日—2011年1月29日），美国当代作曲家及数学家，生于费城，从小学习多种乐器。1931年入宾夕法尼亚大学学习数学，后转入纽约大学学习音乐，4年后获得音乐学士学位。1938年至1945年在普林斯顿大学教授音乐和数学。创作了不少十二音音乐作品后，巴比特于50年代参与了RCA公司的电子合成器的研发，并在创作中使用电子乐器。1964年巴比特创作了他的最著名的作品“夜莺”（Philomel），一部以希腊神话为背景的小型音乐会曲，由女高音、钢琴、电子合成器、磁带演出。1958年，巴比特因在《高真度8/2》杂志上发表题为《谁在乎你听不听！》的评论文章，而引起对当代作曲家及其作品的广泛争议。
