侏鹦鹉属
侏鹦鹉属（學名：Micropsitta，台湾作侏儒鸚鵡屬）是鸚形目舊世界鸚鵡科下的一個屬。[2]本屬為亞澳鸚鵡亞科侏儒鸚鵡族（Micropsittini）下唯一的一個屬。[3]這些鳥類被認為起源於新幾內亞，並擴散到附近的島嶼上而產生了地理隔離的現象。[4]:283[5]目前一共有6個物種，並包含了20個亞種。[2]

本屬由法國博物學家勒内-普里梅韦勒·莱松於1831年以亞屬的階級在鸚鵡屬下建立。[7]而族級的名稱則最早見於澳洲鳥類學家格雷戈里·馬修斯的書中，當時以科層級的名稱命名為Micropsittacidae。[8]現今被歸類於舊世界鸚鵡科下。[3]
其屬名Micropsitta由希臘語μικρός（轉寫：mikros，意即「微小的」）及現代拉丁語的psitta（意即「鸚鵡」）組成。[9]源自於黃頂侏儒鸚鵡的一個同物異名Psittacus pygmeus，此原始描述現今為其下的一個亞種M. k. chloroxantha。[9]
形態特徵 编辑
如其名稱所示，被分類於本屬的物種體型極小，其體長均不大於10公分，鳥喙、腿、尾部皆短。[7]被萊松稱之為「鸚鵡家族中的真正侏儒」（vrai pygmée de la famille des perroquets）。[7]當中橙面侏儒鸚鵡被稱為世界上最小的鸚鵡，其體長僅約8—8.5公分，僅與蜂鳥相當。[10][11]
本屬鳥類主要以昆蟲及地衣為食。[5]其特徵為部分尾羽的羽軸相當堅固並突出，有助於在攀爬樹木時將身軀支撐於樹上。[4]:287[10]而腳趾和爪子則提供了相當的握力，同時鳥喙長寬接近相等等特徵，皆有助於其進食地衣。[4]:287這些鳥類在飛行中容易被誤認為雀形目的鳥類，但其進食習慣、頭部構形及特有的尖叫聲皆與其不同。[10]
保護情況 编辑
該屬鸚鵡均受《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約》所保護，並被列於附錄二內。[12]目前在國際自然保護聯盟的保護現狀內均為無危。[13]
