講述年過50的黃金單身漢，同時也是餐廳經營人的吉米·馬提諾（約翰·史坦摩斯 飾演），在其親生兒子傑洛德（喬希·佩克 飾演）帶著其女兒現身後，一夜之間，他的人生多出了“爸爸”與“爺爺”兩個稱呼。
