菲拉·索旺德（英语：Fela Sowande，全名：Olufela Obafunmilayo "Fela" Sowande，1905年5月29日—1987年3月13日）是一名尼日利亚音乐家、作曲家。曾获得MBE勋章。他被认为是现代尼日利亚音乐之父，也是欧洲古典音乐领域中最著名的非洲作曲家。[1]

菲拉·索旺德出生在阿贝奥库塔（位于拉各斯附近），父亲埃曼纽尔·索旺德（Emmanuel Sowande）是尼日利亚教会音乐的牧师和先驱。童年时参加了教堂合唱团。毕业于拉各斯CMS文法学校和拉各斯国王学院（英语：King's College, Lagos）。[2]

索旺德获得了伦敦大学音乐学学士学位，并任职于三一音乐学院（英语：Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance）。他还在第二次世界大战期间，担任英国信息部（英语：Ministry of Information (United Kingdom)）的音乐顾问，为教育影片提供背景音乐。

后来，他回到尼日利亚，在尼日利亚广播公司和伊巴丹大学工作。由于他在尼日利亚广播公司的工作，他在1955年女王生日时，被授予MBE勋章。[6]

索旺德1972年起在美国肯特州立大学任教，1977年成为美国公民，1982年退休后和妻子Eleanor McKinney住在拉韦纳 (俄亥俄州)。[4]

1987年3月13日在拉韦纳去世[4]，葬于兰多夫镇（Randolph Township）。

除了教授职位外，索旺德还拥有拉各斯巴里约的酋长头衔。目前正在提议建立一个中心来研究和推广他的作品，因为许多作品仍未出版或已绝版。
