沙蚕科的一属环节动物
阔沙蚕属（學名：Platynereis）是環節動物門多毛綱葉鬚蟲目沙蠶科之下的一個屬[1]。

杜氏阔沙蚕（Platynereis dumerilii (Audouin et Milne Edwards, 1834)）這個物種在發育生物學被用於研究胚胎發育（embryogenesis），因為牠們的胚胎基本上都是透明的，所以要繼續研究也很方便[2]。舉例說，歐洲分子生物實驗室最近的一項研究[3]發現本屬物種的遺傳基因組與脊椎動物的脊索的遺傳基因的差異，居然比起同屬原口动物的其他各物種之間的差異更少[3][4]。
