骨螺科的一属软体动物

骨螺屬（学名：Murex），也称刍秣螺属，是新腹足目骨螺科的一個由中型到大型的捕食性海螺物種組成的屬[2]。主要分布于印度尼西亚、中国大陆、台湾，常栖息在潮下带。[3]

骨螺屬的學名「murex」最早使用的人是亞里士多德，專門用來指這一種海螺。這個語言上的證據亦使本屬成為了科學界最早使用的物種學名。

分布 编辑

“骨螺屬”仅是印度洋-太平洋的一个属，Winston Ponder（英语：Winston Ponder） & Vokes（1988）证明了这一点。以前被认为西大西洋中属于骨螺屬的物种现在被放置在Haustellum（英语：Haustellum）属中。

習性 编辑

大多数骨螺属的物种生活在潮间带或浅潮下带，在岩石和珊瑚之间。

外壳描述 编辑

该属包括许多很艳丽的成员，它们长长的贝壳高高地浮雕出刺状或叶状的部分。在华丽外壳的内表面一般都很鲜艳。 WoRMS列出了骨螺属中下列具有公认名称的物种和亚种。[4][5]
