非洲鸚鵡亞科
鸚形目新世界鸚鵡科下的一個亞科

非洲鸚鵡亞科（學名：Psittacinae）是鸚形目新世界鸚鵡科下的兩個亞科之一。[1][2]由法國生物學家康斯坦丁·薩米埃爾·拉菲內克-施馬爾茨於1815年建立。[3]

雖然這個亞科下的物種皆分佈於非洲，即舊大陸的一部分，但與在南美洲的金剛鸚鵡亞科相比，在非洲和馬達加斯加的鸚鵡是多系的。[1][2][4]例如在非洲的牡丹鸚鵡屬的鳥類與分佈於澳大拉西亞和印尼、馬來西亞一帶的短尾鹦鹉属為姐妹群的關係，並被歸類至舊世界鸚鵡科下。[4]鸚鵡亞科則被證明與金剛鸚鵡亞科形成姊妹群的關係。[2][4]
該亞科下屬現存兩個屬，分別是非洲灰鹦鹉属以及Poicephalus屬。[2][4]並還有兩個中新世時期的化石屬：Bavaripsitta及Xenopsitta。[5][6]
