黛西·蕾德莉出生於倫敦的西敏。她的母親露易絲·福克納-科貝特（Louise Fawkner-Corbett）是一名公司內部溝通員[2]，父親克里斯（Chris）則是一名攝影師[3][4]。其父母皆是繼承英國的血統[5]。她是五個孩子中最年輕的，有兩個姊姊：基卡-羅絲和波比（Kika-Rose）和（Poppy）與另外和兩個父親以前結婚的半姊妹[3][4]。其中基卡-羅絲是Models 1的模特兒[4][6]。她的叔祖父阿諾德·雷德利曾出演過電視劇《爸爸的部隊》而聞名[7]。2010年，18歲的她從赫特福德郡的特林公園表演藝術學院畢業[3][4]。

2014年4月，宣布蕾德莉將在《STAR WARS：原力覺醒》中飾演主要人物之一[8][9][10][16][6]。她是在2014年2月被選中的出演本片的女主角[17]。蕾德莉的加入一般被認為是導演J·J·亞柏拉罕想與喬治·盧卡斯於1977年的首部電影一樣選擇知名度不高的演員來擔任主角[18]。

蕾德莉目前住在倫敦西區的麥達維爾地區[3]。2017年起與在《東方列車謀殺案》同戲的湯姆·巴特曼交往。2023年1月，蕾德莉在日舞影展宣傳《偶爾我會想到死亡（英语：Sometimes I Think About Dying）》期間，證實自己與巴特曼已結婚[22]。

2016年，蕾德莉透露，在15歲時被診斷出患有子宮內膜異位症和多囊卵巢綜合症，需要接受多次腹腔鏡手術。她表示，由於隨之產生的痤瘡，其病情讓自己缺乏自信。[23][24][25]
