English: French expats – in long lines on the Dollard Boulevard (ca. 100 feet from the corner with Van Horne Avenue) – are waiting to vote in the presidential election, on April 22, 2017. Voters living in the Americas headed to the polls on Saturday. The queue is outside of the Stanislas School in Montreal's Outremont borough, where 24 polling stations were organized. Of the 85,000 eligible French voters in Canada, more than 57,000 were registered to vote here. Results from ballots remained sealed until polls closed in mainland France.
