Some planespotting for the very first weekend of 2013 - in anticipation of seeing the new United 787 services to/from Tokyo. (And I was far from alone - plenty of hardcore planespotters, all of male middle-aged persuasion except for yours truly.) KLM 601 arrives from Amsterdam. KLM 601 is usually the first European flight to arrive in Los Angeles each day, about midday. KLM loves its Boeing 747 Combis, as seen with this example. KLM named its 747s after some of its international destinations, and this one is named after Seoul. And KLM used to be known for keeping its planes very clean - but that obviously is no longer the case, now that it is part of Air France, an airline notorious for dirty planes.
