English: Medieval roundel (badge of button form); cast copper alloy disc with broken-off central integral loop on the back. The front is engraved with a large central phallus pointing left, towards a vulva; below the former is a smaller, downward pointing phallus with a small, left pointing phallus to the right of that. Above the central phallus is the lombardic-letter inscription +HAVE/PIS[R?]EO. There are traces of red enamel on the front. The back is undecorated. Diameter 51.2mm, thickness including broken loop 11.98mm, thickness not including loop c.2.5mm, weight 39.31g. |
