- I’m writing this in response to this comment which was a reply to a request for pictures of the Tea Parties to use in Wikipedia.
- The article is here:
- I think the picture above would be a very good illustration of the spirit of the protests, showing a demonstrator holding a sign reading “Dissent is patriotic.”
- Wikipedia is very anal about copyright so I can’t just upload the pictures and say somebody on the internet told me it was okay.
- If you reply to this note asserting that you release the work under the GNU Free Documentation License (a free licence that permits re-use and derived works with attribution) then I would be grateful. Otherwise it’s likely to be deleted.
- If not, no problem. Thanks for your offer. That’s a great picture.

- No, I think that will be enough for anybody. Thank you. I’ll post the picture along with a link to this post with your release. The good people at Wikipedia only need to be sure they’re not ripping anybody off.
