English: Third Class Dining Saloon on the 'Olympic' (1911) Interior of the passenger liner 'Olympic' (1911) showing the Third Class Dining Saloon, on the Middle Deck (F Deck); a view of the forward section of the Saloon on the starboard side. The boiler casing is on the left side of the image. The design of the interiors on the 'Olympic' was mainly the work of Aldam Heaton & Co, a practice founded by John Aldam Heaton (1828-97). Heaton established a partnership with Richard Norman Shaw and was part of William Morris’ circle. He also edited four volumes on 18th-century furniture. |
