描述USS Boxer (CVA-21) in port in 1954.jpg	The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CVA-21) in port, probably in San Francisco Bay, California (USA). Note: The description states that the photo was taken on 18 November 1953. However, Boxer returned from the Western Pacific on 28 November 1953 with Air Task Group 1 (ATG-1). None of the squadrons of ATG-1 were equipped with the Grumman F9F-6 Cougar that are parked on the forward flight deck. The swept-wing version of the F9F Panther arrived to late to participate in the Korean War, and Boxer had left the U.S. West Coast already on 30 March 1953 (the war ended on 27 July 1953). During her next deployment from 3 March to 11 October 1954, the embarked Carrier Air Group 12 (CVG-12) had two squadrons equipped with the F9F-6. Also, by early 1955, the SK-2 radar antenna (visible on the island) been replaced by SPS-6B. (See also [1])
