The dispute is about:
Français : Ce qui est présenté est la structure précise d'un vulcanisat et non une représentation schématique. Est-ce que la vulcanisation se passe ainsi, c'est-à-dire, est-ce que la position des atomes de soufre par rapport à la double liaison est correcte ? D'autre part, le nombre de ponts par unité de répétition est beaucoup trop élevé. Écrire une structure aussi précise suppose de connaître parfaitement le mécanisme de vulcanisation avec le soufre.
English: What is presented is the exact structure of a vulcanizate and not a schematic presentation. Is curing happens so, that is to say, is that the position of the sulfur atoms relative to the double bond is correct? On the other hand, the number of cross-links per repeating unit is too high. Writing such a precise structure also assumes perfect knowledge of the mechanism of vulcanization with sulfur.
