此模板用於標示允許複製到維基百科的許可證類型、URL和作者。此模板不應用於雙重許可證的內容（例如，根據知識共享許可協議和GFDL）。參見Template:Dual。

author(s)：來源的作者。這需要滿足許多知識共享許可證的“合理使用”規定，例如在這個模板覆蓋的所有例子，您必須提供創建者和擁有者的名稱。該參數不總是必需的，因為一些來源根本沒有作者，而對於其他人（例如，維基百科內容），列出可檢視頁面歷史的網址，已足够提供創建者和擁有者的信息。
