匈牙利裔美国数学家
拉克斯·彼得（匈牙利语：Lax Péter，1926年5月1日—），全名拉克斯·彼得·达维德（匈牙利语：Lax Péter Dávid，英语：Peter David Lax），匈牙利裔美国数学家，参与了曼哈顿计画。研究的领域与成就主要有可积分系统、流体动力学和激波、孤波物理学、双曲守恒律（hyperbolic conservation laws），以及数学与计算科学等领域。

生平 编辑
拉克斯生于布达佩斯的一个犹太人家庭。1941年跟随父母（Klara Kornfield 与 Henry Lax，都是医生）移民美国纽约市，并就读于史岱文森高中[2]。1948年，他与数学家阿内利·卡恩结婚。
1947年，拉克斯获得纽约大学数学学士，1949年取得博士学位，指导老师是卡特·奥托·佛莱德里克斯。
