埃塞俄比亞猶太人

貝塔-以色列人希伯來語בֵּיתֶא יִשְׂרָאֵל‎: Beta Israel, 「以色列之家」;吉茲語ቤተ እስራኤል),又稱埃塞俄比亞猶太人希伯來語יְהוּדֵי אֶתְיוֹפְּיָה‎: Yehudey Etyopyah;吉茲語የኢትዮጵያ አይሁድዊ),是居住於埃塞俄比亞北部與東北部地區的猶太人。埃塞俄比亞的非猶太人稱他們為法拉沙人(Falasha),意為 「流亡者」或「陌生人」,但是這些猶太人認為這是一個貶義詞[4]

目前居住在以色列的該族群人口超過12萬人。其中,有81,000人是出生在埃塞俄比亞,其餘38,500人(32%)出生在以色列[5]。根據《回歸法》,猶太人以及有猶太父母或祖父母者,以及他們的配偶,有權定居以色列並獲得公民身份。以色列政府安排了營救行動以將面臨內戰和饑荒威脅的埃塞俄比亞猶太人營救到以色列,最著名的是摩西行動(1984年)和所羅門行動(1991年)。遷移至今仍在繼續中。

起源 編輯

《列王榮耀記》(Kebra Negast)認為這個族群是和孟尼利克一世來到埃塞俄比亞的以色列支派的後裔,而孟尼利克一世是所羅門示巴女王的兒子。孟尼利克成年後到耶路撒冷見他的父親,回去埃塞俄比亞時,帶走了約櫃

希伯來聖經中並未記載示巴女王嫁給了所羅門王,或與他有性關係,只是提到她對他的財富和智慧留下了深刻印象,交換了皇家禮物,然後回到古實。但是仍有人將「皇家禮物」解釋為性接觸。希伯來聖經中也沒有提到約櫃失蹤。

移民 編輯

從1984年開始,以色列主導的摩西行動開始將貝塔以色列人營救到以色列。到1985年,行動中斷,許多貝塔以色列人仍留在埃塞俄比亞。1990年,以色列政府和埃塞俄比亞達成協議,允許剩下的貝塔以色列人移居以色列。1991年,埃塞俄比亞陷入混亂,埃塞俄比亞人民革命民主陣線領導的武裝襲擊並最終占據了首都亞的斯亞貝巴。由於擔心這些貝塔以色列人遭遇厄運,以色列政府和一些私人機構繼續遷移行動。以色列航空獲得了特別許可,可以在安息日飛行(因為生命危險),5月24日,星期五,所羅門行動開始。在36小時內,34架以色列航空客機移除了座位,以達到最大載客量,共計將14,325名貝塔以色列人運送到以色列。

埃塞俄比亞猶太人目前正在逐漸融入以色列社會,如參軍、受教育、從事政治活動等。

到2019年底為止,以色列的貝塔-以色列族群人口有15萬5300人。[6]

歧視 編輯

埃塞俄比亞猶太人與其他來自蘇丹等地非洲黑人難民在以色列也受到一定程度的歧視[7][8]。1996年曾發生血庫事件,以防範艾滋病毒傳染病等理由,拒絕接受埃塞俄比亞猶太人的捐血[9][10][11]
