1807年奴隸貿易法令
《1807年奴隸貿易法令》（英語：Slave Trade Act 1807），正式的詳題爲《廢除奴隸貿易的法令》（An Act for the Abolition of the Slave Trade），是英國議會在1807年通過的一項在大英帝國內禁止奴隸貿易的法令。

英格蘭清教徒在1787年組建了廢除奴隸貿易委員會（Committee for the Abolition of the Slave Trade），隨着廢奴思潮的推廣，英國的廢奴主義者勢力迅速擴大。威廉·威爾伯福斯在1792年4月2日在英國下議院提議禁止奴隸貿易。實際上，他在1791年就提出過同樣的提案，但因163票反對、僅88票支持而未能通過[1]。第二次提案後，第一代梅爾維爾子爵亨利·鄧達斯發動愛丁堡市民支持提案[2]，並對提案提出修正，採用循序漸進的辦法，而非立刻終止。修改後更加溫和的提案最終以230支持、85反對的結果通過[3][4]。
英國首相第一代格倫維爾男爵威廉·格倫維爾隨後繼續在上議院推動議案[5]。1807年2月23日，《廢除奴隸貿易法案》正式通過，283票支持，僅16票反對，3月25日法案得到御准[6]，5月1日正式實施。當年4月27日獲批准出航的「Kitty's Amelia」號（實際出發日期是7月27日）成為英國最後一艘販奴船[7]。
實施 編輯
法令對進行奴隸貿易的船長作出處罰，若在船上發現奴隸，罰金最高可達每個奴隸100英鎊，這一度導致一些販奴的船長在看到英國皇家海軍的旗幟後故意將奴隸拋下海，以避免處罰[8]。皇家海軍在1808年建立了西非艦隊（West Africa Squadron），到1860年為止一共抓獲了約1600艘販奴船，解放了15萬名黑奴[9][10]。1860年代，大衛·利文斯頓報道了東非阿拉伯奴隸貿易之後，皇家海軍又前往東非整治販奴行為[11][12]。
