暴烈幼犬 是由Michael League（電貝斯手, 作曲家, 音樂製作人, 格林美獎得主）所帶領的, 位於紐約的融合爵士樂樂團。於2004年成立於德克薩斯州的登頓。樂團的特色是其共有約40名音樂家組成，在不同的巡迴演出和錄音時都能上陣演出。其樂器包括了結他，鋼琴，鍵盤樂器，木管，銅管，打擊以及弦樂器。許多目前及前任團員皆為北德克薩斯大學畢業的學生。

樂團的成員經常性的更動，且樂團也常與不同音樂家合作，如：Erykah Badu, Marcus Miller, Justin Timberlake, Kirk Franklin, Ari Hoenig, Roy Hargrove, Snoop Dogg等。目前的主要巡演成員有：Michael League, Robert "Sput" Searight, Nate Werth, Shaun Martin, Cory Henry, Justin Stanton, Bill Laurance, Bob Lanzetti, Mark Lettieri, Mike Maher and Chris Bullock。除了經常性的巡演外，Snarky Puppy也勤於音樂教育。在世界巡演時，樂團也在美國，加拿大，英國，法國，荷蘭，德國和比利時等國家，舉辦了超過一百場的工作坊和大師班。
Snarky Puppy在2006年發行了他們的首張專輯The Only Constant。而他們的前三張專輯皆是由「Sitmom Records」[1]發行的。 從第四張專輯Tell Your Friends (2010)開始，樂團加入了「Ropeadope Records」廠牌[2][3]
目前最新的作品We Like It Here，是在2013年10月於荷蘭的烏特勒支錄製的。[4]該作品在2014年2月發行，並且迅速在iTunes爵士行榜上竄昇至第一名。在2014年1月26日，Snarky Puppy和Lalah Hathaway在 Family Dinner - Volume 1演出Brenda Russell的歌曲"Something"，獲得了該年格林美獎最佳R&B現場演出獎項。[5]在2014年10月25日，他們加入了"Impulse! Records"廠牌。
