SAO星表
天體恆星目錄
SAO星表（英語：The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory Star Catalog；全名：史密松天體物理台星表）是一個天體測量星表，在1966年由史密松天體物理台出版，共包含258,997顆恆星。[1][2][3]該星表由之前的一些星表編纂而成，但僅收錄9.0等以上且已經精確測量過自行的恆星。SAO星表裏的星名由字母SAO開頭接着數字序號表示，恆星以赤緯分區，每10度為一區，共分為18區，在每一區中的恆星依照赤經位置來排序。SAO星表較大的變動是增加了一些HD星表沒有的資料，例如恆星的自行(對天文學家而言，這是很有用的資料)，與HD星表和巡天星表序號的交互參照。這些在最後的一版中仍然被保留着。
