白滨对虾
白滨对虾（Litopenaeus setiferus）是滨对虾属下的一种虾，生活在北美洲的大西洋沿岸和墨西哥湾中[1]。

形态 编辑
白滨对虾长度可达197毫米（7.8英寸），雌虾比雄虾大[1]，触须的长度可达体长的三倍。它通体青白色，体侧泛粉，有黑色斑点[2]。
生态 编辑
白滨对虾一般分布于潮间带和河口地区的温水中，低于3 °C（37 °F）的水中无法生存，仅在温度超过20 °C（68 °F）时生长[1][2]。它是一种杂食动物，以海草和生物碎屑为食[3]。红鼓鱼和很多海龟为其天敌[3]。
捕捞 编辑
大西洋沿岸的美国原住民本来就有捕食白滨对虾的传统[4]，殖民者到来之后也将其当做一种美食[4]，美国的商业捕捞出现于1709年之前。[1]
