常春藤（学名：Hedera helix），又名洋常春藤、长春藤、土鼓藤、木茑、百角蜈蚣，是常春藤属下的一种常绿攀援植物，在很多地区常春藤实际都属于入侵物种。

命名编辑

常春藤的种加词helix来自古希腊语，意思是“扭”。^[3]

描述编辑

其茎生气根以攀缘他物，嫩叶以及花序被有星形鳞片，叶有柄，厚质，葡枝之叶稍做三角形，掌状。

分布编辑

常春藤自然分布于北至爱尔兰东北部和斯堪的纳维亚南部、南至葡萄牙、东至乌克兰、土耳其。在处于零下二摄氏度冬季等温线以上的地区，一般会被其他植物取代。^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]

与人类的关系编辑

叶有香气，形态优美，常作园艺观赏用。

其果实、种子和叶子均有毒，孩童误食会引起腹痛、腹泻等症状，严重时会引发肠胃发炎、昏迷，甚至导致呼吸困难等。^{[来源请求]}

入侵植物编辑

人类将常春藤引入了许多地区，其中一些地区将其列为入侵物种。常春藤会迅速蔓延并缠绕其他植物造成后者死亡。它们创造了大片的“常春藤荒漠”（ivy deserts）。例如美国的许多州，特别是俄勒冈州全部禁止销售与进口常春藤^[10]^[11]^[12]。太平洋西北地区和美国南部的政府也鼓励消灭常春藤^[13]^[14]。

在澳大利亚南部，特别是东南部，常春藤被当做有害植物。在一些地区禁止贩售常春藤^[15]。与澳大利亚相邻的新西兰的环保局自1990年开始也将常春藤列为杂草（environmental weed）^[16]。
