早期生涯 编辑

桑契斯在圣多明哥的La Victoria（英语：La Victoria, Dominican Republic）长大，年轻时父母离异，由母亲和祖母扶养他和四个兄弟姊妹。他的其中一个兄弟Miguel Sánchez在西雅图水手伞下打球。[1]他和妻子Sahaira育有一女。[1]

2016季前桑契斯和Austin Romine竞争开季名单中布莱恩·麦肯的备用捕手位置，但赛季仍在3A出发。5月份重回大联盟出赛一场，四打数无安打。[17]8月3日再度升上大联盟，[21]从Hansel Robles手中击出大联盟第一支安打。[22]8月10日，桑契斯五打数四安打，包括三支一垒安打和大联盟第一支全垒打。16日对上多伦多蓝鸟，他达成生涯第一次单场两支全垒打。8月22日，桑契斯以.523打击率和四支全垒打获选美联单周最佳球员。[23]他成为大联盟史上第一人在生涯前23场出赛中打出至少11支全垒打和31支安打，并在29日再度拿下美联单周最佳球员。隔月3日大联盟颁予他美联单月最佳球员及单月最佳新人奖。[24]9月21日，桑契斯在他的第45场出赛击出第18和19支全垒打，写下大联盟现代棒球最快的纪录。[25]桑契斯在2016年年度最佳新人奖投票中排第2，仅次于麦可·富尔马（英语：Michael Fulmer）。
