約翰·格奧爾格·瓦格勒
約翰·格奧爾格·瓦格勒[1]（德語：Johann Georg Wagler，1800年3月28日—1832年8月23日）是德國爬蟲兩棲類學家[2][3][4]和鳥類學家[5]。

瓦格勒於1800年3月28日出生在紐倫堡，父親是市法院的法官。[6]他在青年時代就熱愛自然歷史，1818年進入埃爾朗根-紐倫堡大學學習。[6]畢業後他成為了動物學家及探險家徐畢克斯的助手。[7]在移居慕尼黑後，他開始在慕尼黑大學教授動物學。[8]
瓦格勒深入研究了徐畢克斯從巴西帶回的眾多標本，並與他聯合出版了許多關於巴西爬行動物的書籍。他還在1832年出版了《鸚鵡專著》（Monographia Psittacorum），其中包括對藍色金剛鸚鵡的命名和描述。[3]
1832年，瓦格勒在慕尼黑莫薩赫收集標本時，不幸因獵槍意外走火受傷而亡。[2][3][4]
為了紀念他對動物學的貢獻，至少有3種爬行動物以瓦格勒命名，其中包括東南亞毒蛇韋氏竹葉青（Tropidolaemus wagleri）。[3][9]
