《印度暴徒》（英語：Thugs of Hindostan）是2018年印度動作冒險片，由維賈伊·克里希納·阿查里亞（英語：Vijay Krishna Acharya）執導、編劇，雅什－拉吉影片公司的阿迪提亞·曹帕拉擔任監製，阿米塔布·巴沙坎、阿米爾·汗、卡特麗娜·卡芙和法蒂瑪·薩納·謝赫主演。故事發生在1795年，一群由庫達巴克什·阿扎德率領圖基教暴徒將印度斯坦（印度次大陸）從不列顛東印度公司日益擴張的統治中解放出來。英國指揮官約翰·克萊夫非常吃驚，從阿瓦德招來貌不驚人的流氓菲蘭吉·馬拉，派他滲透到暴徒組織中應對威脅[6]。

憑藉着₹210克若（約合2900萬美元）的製片預算，影片成為印度影史上成本花費最高的影片[3][4]。影片最初名為《Thug》，是巴沙坎和汗首次聯袂主演，也是汗、阿查里亞和卡芙在2013年的《遁天神盗3》後的再度聯手。主體攝影於2017年6月5日在馬耳他啟動，隨後劇組移師泰國和梅蘭加爾城堡。巴沙坎在片場受傷後，攝製暫時中止。影片於2018年3月在拉賈斯坦邦煞科。

1795年，印度次大陸，印度斯坦國王米爾扎·西坎德·拜格被約翰·克萊夫殺害。隨後，王國的臣民們遭遇大屠殺，英殖民者入侵了這片土地。屠戮中僅有倖存者，是公主扎菲拉·拜格和大將庫達巴克什。庫達巴克什擊敗潰退的敵軍後，將扎菲拉收養為女兒，教她打仗。

多年後，改名為扎哈玆的庫達巴克什率領擅長海戰印度流氓軍圖基教和東印度公司展開正面交鋒。當時的東印度公司管轄着印度的大部分疆土。約翰·克里夫非常吃驚，他派遣手下干將應對圖基教挑起的威脅。

菲蘭吉·馬拉是一位遊手好閒、其貌不揚的慣偷，日常靠盜竊貴重食品維生。英國人找到他，讓他接受挑戰。他去找扎哈玆，乞求對方收留他。扎哈玆答應了他，菲蘭吉得以成為東印度公司的線人。之後，他得到舞娘舒蕾亞的撫慰，定下要成為英國人的目標，所以他在很多場合中都打扮成英國人。希望糾正菲蘭吉任性秉性的扎哈玆開始懷疑他的動機不純。最後，扎哈玆知道真相，找來菲蘭吉決鬥。菲蘭吉在決鬥中獲勝，扎哈玆表示希望能改變他。

在和英國人於廢棄港口決戰中，扎哈玆和扎菲拉聯手對抗英國人時，發生自己寡不敵眾。菲蘭吉帶着手下出現，扭轉了佔據，成功幫助扎菲拉擊敗克里夫，伸張了正義。扎哈玆仰望天空，看到貧瘠的土地結出累累碩果，預示着菲蘭吉成為了偉大的人物。

2016年9月，雅什－拉吉影片公司宣佈下一步作品題為《印度暴徒》，由阿米爾·汗和阿米塔布·巴沙坎聯袂主演，不過女主角人選尚未確定[12]。影片原名《Thug》，計劃在2018年排燈節上映[13]。主角人選李提克·羅森最初提出劇情修改意見，得到阿迪提亞·喬普拉的同意。與此同時，阿查里亞拿着劇本找阿米爾·汗，汗沒有提出修改，直接同意拍戲[14]。後來，但在2016年11月，汗提出重寫劇本，尤其是女主角的性格，這使得計劃擱置[15]。趁着這個空當，汗為電影蓄起了長發和鬍鬚[16]。

到2017年2月，汗為他在片中的形象做足了準備[17]。也是在那個月，施拉達·卡普爾參加試鏡，試穿了戲服[18]。3月，有傳聞指汗提議讓法蒂瑪·薩納·謝赫加盟影片。謝赫否認了這個消息，但也表示自己渴望加盟項目[19]。5月，謝赫確認出演，還公佈了試鏡裝扮[20]。她取代了卡普爾的角色[21]。同時，雅什－拉吉影片公司網站確認卡芙會出演[21]。汗、巴沙坎和阿查里亞於5月開會討論劇本修改[22]。最初報道指影片改編自菲利普·米德斯·泰勒（英語：Philip Meadows Taylor）1839年小說《暴徒的自白（英語：Confessions of a Thug (novel)）》，但經過完全的修改，影片轉為講述改編自歷史事件的虛構故事。阿查里亞認為，外界之所以誤解，是因為兩部作品都出現了「暴徒」一詞[23]。此外，也有傳聞指影片改編自《加勒比海盜》及《奪寶奇兵》系列，是帶有動作冒險元素的作品，但汗否認這一點[24]。

影片是繼2013年的《遁天神盗3》後，汗再度聯手阿查里亞和卡特莉娜·卡芙，也是汗和巴沙坎首次聯袂主演的作品[25]。按原計劃，巴沙坎和汗理應在上世紀90年代末出演英德拉·庫馬爾（英語：Indra Kumar）執導作品《Rishta》，由於計劃擱置，兩人的合作無疾而終。除了羅森，傑基·史洛夫、艾莉雅·巴特和荻皮卡·帕都恭都推掉了角色[26][10]。為了角色，汗的耳朵和鼻子要永遠打洞[27]。

在製作影片時，阿查里亞希望對歷史改編劇情片進行改造，從而打造出他所想要的「有一段情節不太高貴的不敬電影」。考慮到將觀眾帶到影院有困難，他把影片把造成視覺「奇觀」[23]。汗表示，他的角色是「不能被完全信任的人，（所以這和）《摔跤吧！爸爸》的角色非常的不一樣，他是個很見風使舵的人。他完全沒有顧忌，為了錢連母親都可以賣。他喜歡錢[28]。」卡芙表示，她在片中的動作戲份不像《猛虎已覺醒》那樣多[29]。巴沙坎繼1988年電影《義警神威（英語：Shahenshah (1988 film)）》後第二度為拍戲穿上鎧甲[30]。此外，他還要穿帕裏頭巾（英語：Pagri (turban)）[23]。巴沙坎的大部分動作戲在雨中拍攝[23]。

影片製片預算約為30億盧比（4200萬美元），是波里活有史以來製片成本最高的電影[31]。最初計劃的預算為9億盧比，但拍戲時超支了[32]。影片於2017年6月5日在馬耳他開鏡[33]。片中的兩艘艦船在馬耳他組裝，由1000位工人共同完成，每艘重達20萬公斤[34]。為防止片場遭泄露，現場有重兵把守[35]。到2017年6月28日，巴沙坎率先完成他在馬耳他的戲份[36]。7月中旬，汗離開片場休息，到意大利度假[37]。

查普拉不是很滿意在馬耳他拍攝的動作戲，這些戲之後在雅什－拉吉影片公司的片場重拍[38]。據報道，汗忙於影片的拍攝，沒時間宣傳他的電影《神秘巨星》[39]，直到10月份他才抽空去宣傳[40]。8月，沙巴坎在拍戲時肋骨骨折，由於時間緊湊，拍攝要繼續[40]。沙巴坎和其他人出鏡的歌舞戲份由查拉布·迪法（英語：Prabhu Deva）編舞[41]。沒有拍戲時，劇組成員都戴着口罩，避免着涼感冒[42]。9月，《印度電影觀眾》拍到正在拍戲的汗，曝光了他的造型[43]。汗焦躁不安，加強了片場的保安[44]。同月，沙巴坎的造型也在網上遭泄露[45]。汗表示「這不應該發生」，阻止往後的造型泄露計劃[46]。

2017年12月6日，泰國的戲份開拍[47]，12月26日煞科[48]。部分場景在焦特布爾梅蘭加爾城堡拍攝[49]。沙巴坎在片場狀態欠佳後，一隊醫生在焦特布爾照顧他。他的妻子賈雅·巴克罕表示，沉重的戲服挫傷了他的後背和脖子[50]。在上世紀70、80年代拍戲時，他曾因特技戲受傷，這次的特技加重了他的傷勢[51]。沙巴坎表示他暫無大礙[52]，但傷勢需要時間恢復，影片的拍攝暫時中斷[53]。他於2018年3月13日返回片場[54][55]。同年3月底，影片高潮戲在拉賈斯坦邦焦特布爾拍攝[56][57]。

電影配樂由約翰·史超域·恩杜爾（John Stewart Eduri）作曲，插曲由Ajay−Atul（英語：Ajay−Atul）作曲、阿米塔布·巴塔查亞（英語：Amitabh Bhattacharya）作詞[1]。尚卡爾-伊桑-羅伊三人組（英語：Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy）原本要編寫配樂，但沒趕在電影重拍後的截止日期寫出作品，因此歌曲要重寫[59]。《印度時報》的拉希特·古普塔（Rachit Gupta）認為配樂是電影令人失望的部分：「歌曲沒有燃起你對一部阿米爾·汗、卡特麗娜·卡芙和阿米塔布·巴沙坎主演電影的期望[60]。」

影片有印地語、泰米爾語和泰盧固語三個版本，以IMAX和4DX格式發行[61]。最初影片在全球共7000塊熒幕上映，其中印度5000塊，海外2000塊，是發行規模最大的印地語電影[62]。

在巴基斯坦，影片無刪減，在120塊屏幕上映，成為在該國發行規模最大的電影。影片由IMGC發行，Geo Films（英語：Geo Films）擔任媒體合作夥伴[63]。

2018年9月17日，雅吉 - 拉什影片公司在YouTube公佈了影片的官方標誌和幕間旁白[64]。翌日，巴沙坎飾演的暴徒首領庫達巴克什的動態海報（英語：Moster (motion movie poster)）[65]。這是影片角色宣傳海報攻勢下首個公開的角色。9月19日，第二個公開的角色是謝赫飾演的弓箭手扎菲拉[66]。由歐文扮演的英國指揮官約翰·克里夫於9月20日公佈[67]。卡芙扮演的舞者於9月21日公佈[68]。三天後，由汗飾演的相貌古怪、騎着毛驢的暴徒公佈[69]。

9月26日，汗和巴沙坎公佈宣傳視頻。片中他們說着泰盧固語和塔米爾語，呼籲當地的觀眾去看電影[10]。9月27日是雅什 - 拉吉電影公司創辦人雅什·曹帕拉誕辰86周年，當天影片預告片在YouTube公佈[70]。預告片發佈儀式在位於孟買萬達拉的全印最大IMAX影院嘉年華電影院（英語：Carnival Cinemas）舉行，一種主創也出現在現場[71]。預告片首日在YouTube獲得3000萬點擊量[6]，跨數字社交媒體平台播放量達3200萬次[72]。泰米爾語剪接版由卡茂爾·哈桑製作，泰盧固語版由S·S·拉傑摩利製作[73]。影片定於2018年11月8日排燈節上映[74][6]。

到11月6日，YouTube又有三段視頻，包括庫達巴克什和菲蘭吉的介紹視頻[92]、演員和主創探討兩個角色的開發和美學，以及巴沙坎在片中演唱的搖籃曲《Lori》[93]。2018年11月16日，印地語預告片在YouTube的播放量超過1億[94]，這是該網站歷史上首支播放量超過1億的印度電影預告片[95][96][97][98]。

2018年4月，製作方宣佈影片計劃在中國上映。當時，汗之前的作品《作死不離3兄弟》（2009年）、《來自星星的PK》（2014）、《摔跤吧！爸爸》（2016）和《神秘巨星》（2017）都在中國大獲成功[99]。中方發行商不打算與印度同日上映電影[100]。中方審查耗時約兩個月，之後汗計劃在2019年1月上映電影[101]。中方發行公司E星影業取得了院線發行權[102]，他們保證最低票房2000萬美元（₹145克若）[103]。

由於印度的口碑慘澹，中國版據報會有大幅度刪減。中國版的片長更短，和印度版相比汗、巴沙坎和謝赫三位主角的出場視頻更為平衡，加入了印度版沒有的汗鏡頭，剪短了巴沙坎和謝赫的鏡頭。這些更改一定程度是利用汗在中國的知名度，回應中國觀眾期待，減少了電影在印度不受歡迎的元素[104][105]。影片定於2018年12月28日上映，片長120分鐘，比164分鐘的印度少了44分鐘[106]。預計10000家影院的56000塊屏幕將放映本片，其中47000塊為3D屏幕，這是海外電影在中國規模最大的發行[107]。

2018年12月，阿米爾·汗在中國宣傳影片[108]。他受邀前往海南島國際電影節，與香港動作電影巨星成龍、土耳其電影導演努里·比格·錫蘭和荷里活影星尊尼·特普及麥斯·米科爾森共同亮相[109]。汗還為電影《我不是藥神》頒發電影節最高獎項[108]。2018年12月17日在廣東財經大學的宣傳活動據報有約350名影迷到場，但由於主辦方沒有告知校方活動的事宜，粉絲們之後要到學校附近的四季酒店見面[110]。12月18日，他在西安電子科技大學宣傳影片[111]。

影片口碑較差，影評人讚揚沙巴坎和汗的演技[114][115]，批評阿查里亞的導演和劇本[116]。匯總媒體爛番茄評論10條，腐爛度僅為10%，平均得分4.1/10[117]。

《印度時報》的拉希特·古普塔（Rachit Gupta）給予影片2.5/5星評價，分享了大部分評論者的觀點：「花了一百萬去製作，但卻沒有體現出來」。他讚揚佈景和攝影，但指出缺乏懸念：「劇情能夠猜出來的測試，對電影沒有一點幫助」。特效也是亮點所在，但篇幅過長，節奏緩慢是一大癥結[60]。新德里電視台的沙拜·查特吉（Saibal Chatterjee）打出2.5/5星，認為電影「龐大、臃腫、誇張」，直言「完全依賴動作場面和視覺影像」。他批評劇本和預算無法提升電影，認為謝赫出演的部分場景較為出色，而女演員們的表現總體欠佳。他認為，電影「最終太過俗氣，身為印度對《加勒比海盜》系列的合理回應，着實沒法令人信服[118]。」Scroll.in（英語：Scroll.in）的南迪尼·拉瑪絲（Nandini Ramath）認為電影「陳腐、平淡」。她認為海上鏡頭的執導「緩慢」，「在陸上拍的鏡頭也好不到哪裏去」。動作戲「平淡」，配樂「一直沉重」[119]。

在國內，電影創下2018年印度電影晨間入座率紀錄，預訂率達65-70%[103]。首日票房以63.5克若[129]，52.25克若（實價（英語：Entertainment tax）下同）穩坐榜首地位[130]，超越之前由《新年快樂（英語：Happy New Year (2014 film)）》（₹44.97克若）、《巴霍巴利王：磅礴終章》（₹41克若）和《遇上我的真命天子（英語：Prem Ratan Dhan Payo）》（₹40.35克若）保有的紀錄[130][131][132]。翌日，票房成績落到₹29.25克若[133]。兩天總票房約為₹81.50克若[134]，創下印地語電影首兩日票房紀錄[135]。到了第三天，國內票房累積到105克若[136]，成為巴沙坎在印度首部奪得100克若的電影（不考慮通貨膨脹）[137]。到2018年11月11日上映首周末，國內票房已達157.69克若[138]，實價123克若[139]。影片超越《遁天神盗3》，成為阿米爾·汗在印度首映成績最好的電影[140]；超越《一代巨星桑傑君（英語：Sanju）》成為2018年首周末成績最好的電影[141]。電影位列印度首周末票房歷史榜第四位，僅次於《蘇丹（英語：Sultan (2016 film)）》、《遇上我的真命天子》和《巴霍巴利王2》[142]。首周票房達180克若[5]，實價140.4克若[143]，繼《蘇丹》、《帕德瑪瓦特》和《生死競賽3（英語：Race 3）》後位列2018年年度首周票房榜第四位[143]。截至2018年11月26日，電影印度票房192.72克若，實價150.32克若[5]。
