瘰鳞蛇
瘰鳞蛇（学名：Acrochordus granulatus），又名疣鳞蛇[3]，是蛇亚目瘰鳞蛇科下的一个品种。主要分布于印度、东南亚以及所罗门群岛一带。瘰鳞蛇是一个完全生活于水中的蛇种，暂时未有任何亚种被确认[4]。

描述 编辑
瘰鳞蛇是瘰鳞蛇科三个物种当中体型最小的一种，也是当中唯一一种同时会在河口及海岸永久栖息的物种[5]。事实上本科三个物种均为完全水栖的物种，在陆地上几近完全丧失行动能力。如同本科其他物种，它们的鳞皮表面质地虽然相当粗糙[6]，但其实皮层偏薄，容易撕裂。瘰鳞蛇是同种异形的，雌雄各有不同型态，雄性瘰鳞蛇体型较小，身体颜色的深浅对比亦较为明显[7]。瘰鳞蛇经常出没于河塘、沼泽等地，亦分布于海洋。
地理分布 编辑
瘰鳞蛇分布于从印度半岛两岸，到东南亚、印支-澳大利亚群岛及澳大利亚北部，再到所罗门群岛。这范围还包括孟加拉国、缅甸、斯里兰卡、安达曼群岛及尼科巴群岛、泰国、柬埔寨、越南、中华人民共和国（只见于海南省）、菲律宾（吕宋、宿务及班塔延岛）、马来西亚、印度尼西亚（苏门答腊、爪哇岛、婆罗洲、弗洛勒斯岛、帝汶、苏拉威西岛、特尔纳特、安汶岛及西巴布亚的海岸）、巴布亚新几内亚、所罗门群岛及澳大利亚北部（北领地及昆士兰州东部）。原始文献描述并没有指明模式标本产地，尽管Smith (1943)[8]及Saint-Girons (1972)都有提及“印度”这个地方[2]。
进食习惯 编辑
根据希恩（Shine, 1991）的瘰鳞蛇研究，指半数的瘰鳞蛇胃部里曾发现过彩虹鱼、鲈鱼等鱼类，偶尔也会进食鳗鱼，而暂时仍未有发现瘰鳞蛇进食两栖动物的证据[9]。它们粗糙的皮肤主要用途是为了抵御水压，便于在海底猎食。雌性瘰鳞蛇主要以伏击的形式捕食猎物，相对地雄性瘰鳞蛇则会比较主动地搜掠猎物。
Harold Voris在其田野研究发现在马六甲海峡的瘰鳞蛇的食谱包括鰕虎亚目或塘鳢科的鱼类及细小的甲壳类生物；然而由于本物种的广泛分布，它们在各地的猎物估计亦有所不同[10]。然而在饲养环境，这些蛇并未发现对所吃的鱼有任何偏好[6]。
