Gor

Gor是美国作家John Norman在1960年代先后完成的一系列反地球小说。以其包含哲学、情色和奇幻色彩的写作风格而出名。本书最主要也最有名的特色为高度的父权社会架构，女性在Gor的世界中常被高度奴隶化。依据科幻小说百科全书的评价，Norman的“性哲学”是“广为厌恶的”[1]。尽管受到女权组织及媒体的高度抨击，本书无庸置疑的启发了一系列的次文化[2][2]。

剧情设置 编辑

Gor是一个在太阳系内的适居星球，与地球共用相同轨道，不过相位刚好是地球的相反，因此地球人受到太阳遮挡无法直接观测到Gor。在小说中，Gor星球上的动植物都有详细的描述。依据小说描述，最早Gor上的一切物种都是由一群长得像虫子'的“祭司王”利用太空船所带到Gor上的，Gor上的人类也是如此。

Gor世界的科技无法用地球的编年予以归类。Gor人们在建筑、农业和医学(包括延长寿命)上相当的先进，但是在交通、通讯、军事(武器科技停留在相当于地球的古希腊时期)上却受到祭司王的限制而较为落后。这些对人类科技上的限制是祭司王确保Gor世界不被好战的人类所摧毁的方式[3]。

Gor星球的天然重力场非常微弱，主要依赖祭司王的科技才能够提升为勉强可以居住的等级。因此在Gor世界中读者经常可以发现有超大型的飞行生物和连接城市的空桥。已知的Gor世界只占全星球的一小部分。在已知的世界中，西方有从贯穿到北的Thassa洋，东方则是Voltai山脉。大多数的人类都居住于两者之间的大陆中，不过在海中小岛和山以东仍有极少数人类聚落。“Gor”这个字在Gorean语(在Gor北部的一种语言)中本身的意思是“家之石”。
