命名歷史 编辑
本屬由英國動物學家喬治·羅伯特·格雷於1840年描述。[3]其模式種被指定為白腹金絲燕。[1]其屬名Collocalia由古希臘語的κόλλᾰ（羅馬化：kolla，「膠水」之意）及κᾰλῑᾱ́（羅馬化：kalia，「巢穴」之意）組成。[4]
