吉威蒂諾圭·佩修

吉威蒂諾圭·帕卡娃庫克·佩修（英語：Keewaydinoquay Pakawakuk Peschel，1919年—1999年7月21日），學者、民族植物學家、草藥醫師、女巫醫、教師與作家。阿尼士納阿比族鶴氏族的長老。佩修於1919年出生於芝加哥，並於芝加哥一處傳統阿尼士納阿比族領地花園島長居。

佩修出生於從曼尼通群島到醫院的漁船上出生，但在出生沒多久，船體就翻覆沉沒，而她在該次災難中生還，被部分人認為是奇蹟。她的乳名，意義為「與熊同行」，是取材自一個故事，描述一位女孩乘父母在採集藍莓時溜出毯子，並與熊一起離開，在父母還沒有回來之前，吃掉灌木叢上掉下來的藍莓。她的正式名字，吉威蒂諾圭（Giiwedinokwe，有時被記錄為Keewaydinoquay），意義為「西北風的女人」，來自於她有遠見的探索[1]。

她在9歲時，與阿尼士納阿比族女巫醫諾迪瑪赫克威拜師學藝，並以女巫醫的身分工作許多年；那時，許多她的同胞只能接觸極少量的正規醫療方法，或是正規醫療方法失敗，被認為是絕症時，她就會治療這些病患。在她57歲時，決定學習人類學，認為只要她得到學位，就能夠聽她說話[2]。她獲得了韋恩州立大學的教育碩士學位，並且完成了密西根大學的民族植物學博士課程。她獲得1975年密西根州年度教師獎，但因為歷年來獲得該獎的紀錄保存不完善，她的名字沒有列在密西根州教育局的名單上[3][4]。1980年代，她任命為威斯康辛大學密爾瓦基分校的教授，教授民族植物學與北美大湖地區印地安人的哲學，並於許多藥草研討會中演講過[5]。她也是許多知名書籍的顧問，包含許多大湖地區當地植物使用的書籍。
