埃及地震列表介绍埃及有史以来的显著地震。埃及地处地中海-喜马拉雅山火山地震带和东非大裂谷地震带附近，地震活动比较频繁[1]，但强震相对较少。其地震活动主要发生在苏伊士湾南端，红海北部和亚喀巴湾周围地区活动板块的边界地带[1]。从公元1341年5月至今，埃及有记载的地震至少达40次[1]，但从未有8级以上强震的观测纪录。

地震危险性评估计划（GSHAP）将埃及未来50年的地震危险度（英语：Seismic hazard）评为10％，处于较低水平。

埃及的地震纪录始于公元前2200年[2]。1995年亚喀巴湾地震（英语：1995 Gulf of Aqaba earthquake）是埃及有观测纪录以来地震规模最大的地震，其矩震级达到7.3级，最大烈度则达到8(VIII)度[3]。该次地震对西奈半岛造成了严重的破坏，并致使至多12人死亡[4]。而1754年开罗地震则是该国有史以来造成人员死亡最多的地震，是次地震据信约造成4万人死亡[2]。值得注意的是，一些震中不在埃及本土的地震也曾给埃及造成了巨大影响，如1303年克里特岛地震（英语：1303 Crete earthquake）就摧毁了久负盛名的亚历山大灯塔[5][6]。

埃及的官方地震观测机构是“埃及国家天文与地球物理研究所”（阿拉伯语：المعهد الوطني لعلم الفلك والجيوفيزياء، مصر‎）[7]，该机构及其下属的埃及国家地震观测台网负责埃及全国的地震监测和科学研究工作，并在全国布设了近60个地震台站，以纪录埃及及其周边的地震活动情况[7]。
