魯德蘭舒·穆克吉

魯德蘭舒·穆克吉(英語:Rudrangshu Mukherjee)是一位印度教育家、歷史學家和編輯。曾擔任加爾各答電訊報評論版總編輯,目前擔任阿育王大學校監及歷史學教授[1]

學業编辑

他曾就讀加爾各答男子學校加爾各答總統大學賈瓦哈拉爾·尼赫魯大學以及牛津大學聖艾德蒙學堂[2]。他在1980年從牛津大學取得的博士學位論文題為"The rebellion in Awadh, 1857-1858: a study in popular resistance".[3] 他後來曾數度在不同出版物中修正他對於印度民族起義的看法,例如在Awadh in Revolt 1857-58: A Study of Popular Resistance (Delhi, 1984, repr. 2002)、Spectre of Violence: The 1857 Kanpur Massacres (Delhi, 1988)以及Mangal Pandey: Brave Martyr or Accidental Hero? (Penguin India)中等等[4]

學術生涯编辑

他也有創作和編輯過好基本其他題目的書,包括The Penguin Gandhi Reader, Trade and Politics and, the Indian Ocean World: Essays in Honour of Ashin Das Gupta, Remembered Childhood: Essays in Honour of Andre Beteille, New Delhi: The Making of a Capital and Great Speeches of Modern India.。他最新的著作是Nehru & Bose: Parallel Lives.[1]

他也曾編輯有關印度左派運動的著作[5] After the 2007 Nandigram episode, he was among those leftist intellectuals in Kolkata who protested the violent policies of the left.[6]
