We brought a Canada flag and a piece of paraphernalia from our local hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks, to Kala Patthar as a symbolism of achievement. Superstitiously, we hoped that by having the Canucks scarf adjacent to the highest point on Earth - Mount Everest - it would help our beloved team win the Stanley Cup. The next day - May 9, the Canucks defeat the Predators to advance to the conference finals. So far, it seems to be working :) |
