English: McMillan Building, located at 200 Hackberry lane, is the home of the en:University of Alabama Press since 2000. Prior to that, it was known as Ward 34 West and was part of the Bryce Hospital campus. Built in 1956, it originally housed male geriatric patients, but starting in 1974, W34W housed forensic patients with criminal backgrounds. The Press moved in in 2000, thus renaming the building after UAP’s founder, James Benjamin McMillan.
It also houses Center for Youth Development and Intervention, Psychology Clinic, and the Crimson Calling Center. (BLDG 1401) |
