Nujabes

Nujabes（日语：ヌジャベス Nujabesu），本名瀨場淳（日语：瀬場 淳／せば じゅん Seba Jun，1974年2月7日—2010年2月26日），是日本東京都港区西麻布出身的唱片製作人，DJ，作曲家、编曲家和音乐制作人。

Nujabes(讀音 /ˈnudʒɑːbɛs/) 是他本名的羅馬拼音Seba Jun倒轉的拼法。 在澀谷區擁有T Records 和Guinness Records兩家唱片店，創立了獨立唱片公司Hydeout Productions。

音樂風融合了爵士和爵士採樣。與日本其他音樂人如Uyama Hiroto, Shing02, L-Universe, Minmi（英语：Minmi）有合作, 並通過與CYNE, Apani B, Five Deez, Substantial, CL Smooth, Fat Jon, 和Terry Callier的合作參與美國地下嘻哈圈子。職業生涯中發行了三張錄音室專輯（2003年的 Metaphorical Music，2005年的Modal Soul，2011年死後發行的 Spiritual State），以及兩張精選輯（2003年的(Hydeout Productions 1st Collection 和2007年的 Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection ）。 [1] 他最著名的作品之一是2004年為渡边信一郎導演的動畫「混沌武士」(Samurai Champloo)創作的背景音樂(Samurai Champloo Music Record: Departure 和 Samurai Champloo Music Record: Impression) 。

Nujabes與Shing02一起創作了luv(sic)系列的Part 1-3，Part 4和Part 5 在Nujabes死後不久後發行。Part 6則在的2013年2月26日，Nujabes死後的第三年發行。據Shing02的Facebook貼文，Part 6的旋律來源於Nujabes過身幾週後在他的手機上發現題為"Luv(sic) grand finale"的片段。[2]

2010年2月26日深夜10:14在首都高速道路遭遇交通事故，被送往澀谷區的一家醫院後因搶救無效死亡。[3][4]

Nujabes的過世引起世界各地很多藝人的致敬。 前唱片公司Hydeout Productions發行了名為 Modal Soul Classics II 的致敬專輯，包括生前與多名合作者的作品，歌詞和名稱選自Modal Soul 和Metaphorical Music的曲目, 如"Music is Ours"直接引用自Modal Soul的第5首。

與Nujabes常有合作的Shing02演出了多場追悼音樂會,[5][6] 並表示"Through his soulful music, Nujabes has touched so many people around the world, even beyond his dreams", and "[I] deeply regret the loss of a unique talent and a close friend."[7]

澳大利亞音樂製作人Ta-ku于2013年發行專輯 "25 Nights for Nujabes"。[8]

嘻哈文化網站BonusCut創辦人Daniel Hodgman2014年提到Modal Soul時表示, "Nujabes may not be physically with us anymore, but through his music, his legacy and lust for life lives on". 联合创始人Gus Navarro评论说， "The music of the late producer Nujabes is something to hold onto and never let go."[9]
