Carex baccans, a plant species in the genus Carex(family Cyperaceae).
Characteristics 编辑
It distributed short rhizomes and strong culms which formed 3-angled. Its leaves distributed from culms, formed acute with deep green colour, elongated leaf-blades and surrounded tightly on the internode of the culms. Inflorescence a compound panicle, interrupted below and contiguous above, occupying upper 1/2 to 1/3 of culm; partial panicles 5 to 8, elliptic to oblong, 5-25 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, single at each node, further branched into 5 to 20 spikes. Lower bracts leaf-like, overtopping inflorescence, sheathing base 2-7 cm long; bracteoles scaly, red-brown.

This species is distributed in subtropical/tropical wetlands or forests in low and middle altitude in Taiwan,Sri Lanka, India, the Himalaya, southern China, and southeastern Asia.
