故事叙述饱受欺负、得不到关爱的女孩克莱儿·夏侬在获得她父亲给予的一个神秘的盒子后，她所许下的每一个愿望竟然都会成真。但随着愿望一一地实现，克莱儿开始惊觉事情不太对劲，因为这盒子就如同潘朵拉的盒子一样，一打开便会来灾难性的恐怖...[3]。

《许愿》的剧本被选为2015年的黑名单[8]。2016年7月27日，宣布《许愿》已确认开始计划，并由约翰·R·李昂尼提执导[9]。电影由雪莉儿·克拉克的制作公司Broad Green Pictures制作[10]，而剧本则由芭芭拉·马歇尔负责撰写[9]。
2016年8月，乔伊·金将担任主角[5]。2016年11月9日，李起弘签约加入演出[7]。而其他演员包括瑞恩·菲利普、米契·史拉格特、雪农·波瑟与雪琳·芬[6]。
发行 编辑
《许愿》定于2017年7月14日在美国上映[12]。首支预告片于2017年2月9日在网上释出[13]。而正式预告片则于2017年3月22日释出[14]。2017年5月22日，官方又释出了第二支正式预告片[15]。
