树根 (画作)
《树根》（英语：Tree Roots）是文森·梵高于1890年7月在法国瓦兹河畔欧韦尔居住时所创作的一幅油画[1][2]，该幅画普遍被视为他最后一幅风景画，也是梵高使用双方形画布作画的一个例子。[3]

梵高在1890年5月离开普罗旺斯地区圣雷米的精神病院后，在巴黎北部的小镇奥维尔度过了他生命的最后几个月[4]。因此《树根》也被一些学者认为是他在1890年7月下旬所创作，他去世前所绘制的最后一幅画。[Works 1]
荷兰艺术史学家扬·许尔斯克认为《树根》是梵高在使用双方形画布中最具原创性的一幅。[5] 观者自以为能辨认出树根和树干，却很难从整体上辨认出主题。范·德文和KNAPP曾评论道，在这幅画以及在《树木和灌木丛》中，绘画本身而并非表达着主题，预示著将来抽象艺术和德国表现主义的发展。[6]
1882年，梵高在海牙时曾对树根进行了研究，并绘制了一棵树（下图），他同时完成了更大版本的《悲伤》（现已遗失） 。梵高在给他弟弟西奥的一封信中说，他想在这些画作中表达一些人生的挣扎。不知道他是否对他的 1890年的《树根》恢复了同样的想法。在留下的纪录中没有给出任何提示。
2020年，梵高研究所和梵高博物馆的研究人员根据一张历史明信片，确定了《树根》这幅画作的可能创作地点[7]，位于瓦兹河畔奥维尔的杜比尼街。地点距梵高当时的下榻处哈雾旅店约150米。[8][9][10]
