球会生涯
编辑乔丹·詹姆斯生于英格兰赫里福德[3]，父亲托尼·詹姆斯是一名已退役足球运动员[4]。乔丹在9岁时便在伯明翰青年学院学习踢球，并在2020年取得两年奖学金，正式成为球队U18一员[3]。
2021年11月2日，伯明翰作客布里斯托尔城的比赛中，他入选了比赛名单。在完场前数分钟，球队正以3-0领先，17岁的詹姆斯便在这时侯首次在职业联赛上场[5][6][7]。11月27日对黑池一役，由于球队两名中场球员瑞安·伍兹和加里·加德纳均停赛[8]，于是他获得首次先发上场机会，中场拍挡为伊万·舒尼奇，球队组成一个3-4-1-2阵形。这比赛中他踢满90分钟，并被《伯明翰邮报》评为全场最佳球员[9]。同日，他签下首份职业合约[10]。
国家队生涯
编辑詹姆斯具有代表威尔斯和英格兰参加国际赛的资格[11]。他在2018/19球季首次代表威尔斯U15上场[12][13]，2019/20球季则代表威尔斯U16上场[14]，并在2020/21球季参加了威尔斯U17的训练营[15][16]，2021年9月首次代表威尔斯U18上场，对手为英格兰U18[17]。
2022年3月，他被英格兰U20征召上场参加对波兰U20和德国U20的比赛[18]，但两者比赛均在比赛结束前才安排上场[19][20]。
2022年9月，詹姆斯入选了威尔斯U21对奥地利U21的友谊赛名单[21]。可是由于乔·艾伦因伤退出威尔斯，詹姆斯被取为提拔至入选成年队名赛参加2022–23年欧洲国家联赛对比利时和波兰的比赛[22]，但没有上场。
2023年3月25日，18岁的詹姆斯终于首次代表威尔斯上场，在2024年欧洲国家杯外围赛作客克罗地亚的比赛中，他在比赛补时阶段才换入。一分钟后，同样是首秀的队友内森·布罗德黑德打进一球，使球队追回1-1[23]。9月7日对韩国的友谊赛，他首次先发上场，比赛结果为0-0[24]。由于乔·莫雷尔停赛，詹姆斯在2024年欧洲国家杯外围赛作客拉脱维亚的比赛中先发上场，而球队最终赢2-0[25]。
