分类命名
编辑本属由英国动物学家乔治·罗伯特·格雷于1841年以小点斑啄木为模式属建立。[3]其属名Campethera结合了古希腊语kampē（意为“毛毛虫”）和-thēras（意为“猎人”）两词。[4]
