蟪蛄属
蟪蛄属（学名：Platypleura），又名蛥蚗。遍布于非洲和亚洲南方等地，一些南非的物种因为能够行使吸热反应的体温调节以探知黄昏的到来，这项能力可以减少被掠食的风险并增加其呜叫的范围。在一些田间试验里，它们在黄昏时呜叫，体温最高可高出周围摄氏温度22 °C（72 °F）以上。[7][8]
