Obsidian，是使用Markdown語法的閉源筆記軟件。[1][2]用戶可以在筆記間建立雙向鏈接，並且可以神經網絡圖的形式將這些鏈接可視化。該筆記旨在幫助用戶以一種靈活的、非線性的方式來組織和構架他們的想法和知識。Obsidian對個人使用免費，對商業許可則需付費。

Obsidian是由Shida Li和徐子殷於2019冠狀病毒病疫情隔離期間所編寫的。[3]兩人在滑鐵盧大學學習時相識，彼時他們已經在幾個開發項目上進行了合作。[4]
Obsidian的第一個版本於2020年3月30日發布。[5]1.0.0版本於2022年10月發布。[6][7]1.1版於2022年12月發布，增加了Canvas核心插件。[8]
Obsidian基於Electron構建。它是一款跨平台應用程序，可在Windows、Linux、macOS以及移動操作系統（如Android和iOS）上運行，不過沒有提供基於網頁的版本。Obsidian可以通過添加插件進行定製，移動應用程序也可使用這些插件。
