I am also a member of the following Embassies:
- Wikipedia (en): English Embassy
- Wikipedia (de): Deutsche Botschaft
Note: I am not active in the embassies. However, if you need something from me in relation to them, feel free to contact me.
Skills and interests
I am proficient and/or interested in:
- Law and its study and application
- History
- Politics
- Photography
- Technology in general
- Internet Culture and Politics
- And other things and stuff
Activity
Here on Commons, you will most likely find me uploading photos or assessing Quality Images. On Wikipedia, I mostly do cleanup, editing, etc - and not even a lot of that.
To Do
- Geotag my photos, and maybe edit/expand some descriptions.
- Translate the transcripts of the three interviews I posted () (at least into English)
- Get started on Nukeproject - This is going to be an article about outer space nuclear tests by the USA. I have planned this since August 2005...
Regarding the move of my username
On 11-08-2005 I changed my username on all Wikimedia project from the nickname Capnez to my real name, Florian Prischl. I think this is important for a project that wants to be taken seriously not only by internet buffs, but my normal people and those of the scientific community.
I hope no problems (regarding links, etc.) will arise from this move. If any do arise, please feel free to contact me on my talk page or via e-mail.
Wikimania was great! From August 4th to August 8th, Wikimania, the first international Wikimedia conference will take place in Frankfurt, Germany. I will be there, and so should you if you are interested in free knowledge, Mediawiki software or just want to socialize with other interested and interesting people.
You can read more about Wikimania on its official website at http://wikimania.wikimedia.org.
Look, the media is already catching on this! For example, see derstandard.at, heise.de, golem.de (all in German. If you found articles in any other language, please tell me so!)
AEIOU wurde nicht geschlossen
This announcement is primarily directed at German-speaking readers
AEIOU.at is nun endgültig nicht geschlossen. Ich habe kürzlich eine e-mail mit der guten Nachricht von der TU Graz bekommen, und ihr könnt das auch auf derstandad.at nachlesen. Hurra, und Dank an alle, die geholfen haben!
Long live free knowledge!
