撒克遜（Saxon）是由英國阿爾維斯汽車公司（Alvis）生產的4輪裝甲運兵車，是英國陸軍的裝備之一。
設計
編輯撒克遜裝甲車主要作為廉價但高效的「戰地出租車（battle-taxi）」支援英國駐德英軍（British Army of the Rhine）以滿足遠程輸送步兵的需求而設計。底盤採用貝德福德M系四輪卡車的底盤
The Saxon's hull is welded steel with a V-shaped under-chassis plate to deflect mine detonations. Seating is provided in the rear for up to ten troops, although eight is a more comfortable load if all their equipment is included.[1] There is an equipment stowage area on the hull roof.[1]
歷史
編輯第一批撒克遜裝甲車於1983年在西德部署， 以填充機械化步兵營 ，目前英軍的撒克遜裝甲車已經除役，但仍有147輛封存。
根據2013年的協議，20至75輛撒克遜裝甲車被出售至烏克蘭，i.e. predating the start of the War in Donbass.[2] 烏克蘭軍方於2014年12月5日簽署這項協議。[3] The former chief commander of British land-forces, General Sir Richard Dannatt, said that supplying the vehicles to Ukraine was "immoral" as they were "useless".[4]
