後院數鳥活動
後院數鳥活動（英語：Great Backyard Bird Count，GBBC）或北美數鳥活動是一項康乃爾鳥類學實驗室以及奧杜邦學會聯合主辦的觀鳥活動。每年2月中旬主辦。此活動始於1998年，原本活動僅在於北美洲，從2013年起，各地的相關組織陸續參與，觀鳥的範圍達全球。

後院數鳥活動是一項康乃爾鳥類學實驗室以及奧杜邦學會聯合主辦的鳥類學活動，是一項全球活動，全球觀鳥愛好者都可受邀參與。活動為期4天。觀鳥愛好者通過網絡平台匯報住家附近鳥類數量以及鳥類的其他訊息，鳥類學家之後會把這些取得的訊息綜合起來，並且用於鳥類學科研項目中[1]。北美數鳥活動是第一項由全民參與、收集鳥類訊息、並即時上傳上網的公民科學項目[2]。
活動採集的數據會經過鳥類學專家的審核以及驗證。此舉的用意是要保證業餘觀鳥愛好者收集到的數據的可靠度[3]。活動收集到的數據有助於提升鳥類研究員對鳥類習性以及數量的認識[4]，並監測鳥類族群長期的動態變化，以分析氣候、疾病與環境因子如何影響不同種鳥類的分佈[5]。

1998年後院數鳥活動開始。1998年2月的第二周美國民眾首先開始參與活動[6]。
2013年起，活動開放給全球觀鳥愛好者參與。全球（例如：印度）其他生態保育機構以及研究所也陸續支持或參與活動[7][8][9]。一些社區也主辦了的獨立的觀鳥活動，但是日期選擇以及籌備過程也與北美數鳥活動配合[10]。
2015年，活動參與者成功紀錄了5090種鳥類，為將近一半的全球鳥類物種。這些參與者也匯報了觀鳥詳情[11]。2018年全球約有20萬人參與後院數鳥活動，來自160個國家或地區，共紀錄了6310個物種[12]。
