故事背景為1937年的紐約市，講述熱衷當演員的17歲的青年人 Richard Samuels 遇到了戲劇導演奧遜·威爾斯後，加入到了由威爾斯導演的莎士比亞舞台劇《尤利烏斯·凱撒》排演中的故事。
