殘酷紀錄片
殘酷紀錄片（英語：Mondo film）是剝削電影及紀錄片的子流派。許多殘酷記錄片的製作方式類似於偽紀錄片，通常描繪煽情的話題、場景或情景。這些電影的共同特點包括強調禁忌話題（如死亡和性）、異域風情（這已引起種族優越感或種族主義的指責）的描寫[1]和上演表現為真正的紀錄片鏡頭畫面。隨着時間的推移，這類電影越來越注重拍攝死屍和死亡的畫面（無論真假），也因此被稱為死亡電影。此外，「震驚紀錄片」（shockumentary）也用於描述該類電影。[2]
殘酷紀錄片於20世紀60年代開始流行起來，如《非人生活》（1962年）、《世界女人奇譚》（1963年）和《殘酷世界》（1966年）；而1978年的《死亡真面目》則引發了熱潮，激發無數模仿品。
