美國民族主義

殖民地時期 編輯
大不列顛王國於17世紀和18世紀初在北美建立了十三殖民地。當時很多人都認同英國，不過到了18 世紀中葉，「美國人」一詞開始出現，殖民地上的國族認同開始有了變化。美國革命後美利堅合眾國成立[2]。
現代 編輯
2001年的九一一襲擊事件助長了美國國內的民族主義情緒。不少美國人加入了反恐戰爭的行列，甚至中產階級和上層階級的公民也參軍入伍。[3]這種民族主義高潮一直持續到阿富汗戰爭和伊拉克戰爭。 [4]
特朗普主義 編輯
外界認為當勞·特朗普是一位民族主義者[5] ，他自己也接受這個說法。[6]他的政府也被人稱為「民族主義」政府。[7]
在特朗普時代，一些政治評論員例如安·庫爾特[8]、Michelle Malkin、[9]Lou Dobbs、[10] 亞歷克斯·瓊斯、 [11]查爾斯·J·柯克[12]、勞拉·英格拉漢姆、[8] Michael Savage、[13]塔克·卡爾森[14]和Mike Cernovich [15]也被視為民族主義者。
