2017年9月9日,蓋瑞克斯和Matisse & Sadko在上海超世代音樂節上首次演唱了《Forever》，並在Snapchat上發佈了一段在演唱過程中錄製的10秒鐘的歌曲片段[4][5]。歌曲的官方預告片在發行前兩天由其唱片公司發佈於Twitter[3]，歌曲正式發行於蓋瑞克斯（以「GRX」之名）與Brooks共同創作《Boomerang》的一周後[3][6][7][8]，當時正值《DJ雜誌》百大DJ排行榜發佈前一天[8]。
